We deliver an organized system ready to put on classroom shelves

The sheer quantity, variety and organization of books required to keep a classroom of students in enough of the right books is daunting. At American Reading Company, we recognize that teachers and reading coaches need to spend their time and effort teaching and coaching, not gathering and organizing materials.

All books arrive in “Basket Collections,” ready to put directly onto classroom shelves. Each basket collection contains 30 books that meet the following requirements:

	Quality. Over the past 10 years, we have evaluated over 50,000 titles from over 250 publishers and have selected the very best 18,000 books that meet our standards for great books.
	Variety. Our reading specialists ensure that each basket contains multi-cultural books that are balanced for fiction/nonfiction, boy/girl appeal, classics/pop culture, illustrative design style, and hardback/softback titles. All 100 Book Challenge collections reflect the diversity of American children.
	Leveled for Ease of Use. We color-code all books according to our proprietary leveling system so that students can easily find and self-select books at their independent reading level. All books receive a colored sticker on the spine using a 100 Book Challenge sticker. Basket collections provide students with a choice of 30-books at their “just right” reading level.
