100 Book Challenge independent reading levels have been correlated with other leveling systems. The 100 Book Challenge levels are independent reading levels. A reader’s 100 Book Challenge color level is the highest level he or she can read, understand, problem-solve and enjoy without help.
Guided Reading and DRA levels assume a teacher is there to introduce the book and provide some help where needed. However, the following correlations may be useful. Schools can use 100 Book Challenge to organize all existing materials, or integrate our program with other systems you are already using.

to schools who wish to level existing books to integrate them into the 100
Book Challenge leveling system.
