Little Singer Students Encouraged to Read More
Winslow, Ariz.—Last Wednesday, Principal Etta Shirley and the elementary teachers at Little Singer Community School attended a workshop on how to get their students to read more. Barbara Richardson, a 30 year veteran of the Philadelphia Public Schools, prepared Little Singer teachers to use the American Reading Company’s 100 Book Challenge Reading Program that is based on research-based best practices. The company’s motto is “life, literacy, and the pursuit of happiness.”
