Reading Challenge Gets Students into Books
Titusville, Fla.—Eleven-year-old Kiara Kitchen has already figured out the secret to success: Take something you love to do, do it very well, and reap the rewards.
Kiara is a fifth-grade student at Riverview Elementary. She is participating in the “100 Book Challenge,” a program designed to boost reading achievement through independent reading at school and at home.
Students at Riverview and nine other elementary schools in Brevard County are participating in the program, which is federally funded.
