American Reading Company Founder & CEO Jane Hileman Named to Board of Directors for the Read it LOUD! Foundation
King of Prussia, Pa.—American Reading Company announced today that Jane Hileman, the company’s Founder and CEO, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Read it LOUD! Foundation. Founded by famous cookie-maker Wally Amos, the foundation’s mission is to help close the literacy gap by motivating parents to read aloud to their children and, where needed, providing them with the books and support to do so.
Read it LOUD!, a national early literacy outreach campaign under the aegis of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress and the Read it LOUD! Foundation, is supported by an unprecedented coalition of public and private sector companies, affinity organizations, literacy and early childhood experts, and caring individuals.
Hileman joins a distinguished Board that includes Wally Amos, Carlos Collazo, Barbara S. Brogliatti, Charles A. Lynch, Laura Bailet, Kenny Gamble, and Bill Halamandaris.
