Integrates Your Balanced Literacy Program
With comprehensive grant support, including grant-writing assistance, American Reading Company works with school leaders and principals to implement a continuous improvement model for literacy by leveraging existing resources and training teachers to teach with materials aligned to the CCSS.
As a SIG-funded partner to schools in more than seven states and the District of Columbia, American Reading Company has proven effective in aligning to grant requirements and raising student achievement in all grades, PreK to 12. See results.
To further develop and implement a Montana Literacy Plan that makes provisions for literacy at all age/grade levels, including challenging transitions from preschool to elementary, elementary to middle school, and middle school to high school that are aligned to Montana Standards for English Language Arts and Montana Early Learning Guidelines and address literacy across the content areas.
To support programs that have a high capacity to implement comprehensive, effective literacy instruction that meets the needs of disadvantaged children and students from birth to Grade 12.
To improve school readiness and success from birth through Grade 12 in the area of language and literacy development. For disadvantaged students, the MSRP will set and achieve the following targets:
To implement a data-based decision-making process to collect, analyze, and use high-quality data to assess the effectiveness of the MT Literacy Plan in meeting the targets in Goal 3.
To increase the graduation rate at all participating high schools.
