Full Stack Developer - Ed Tech

At American Reading Company, we create content, build tools, and provide training to help students become avid readers and learners. Educational technology, including web and mobile applications, are crucial to our daily operations.

We're looking for a full stack developer who will build web applications that will enable school and district administrators to learn and collaborate together while implementing our literacy solutions. These powerful tools will live inside our widely-used, proven technology platform, SchoolPace.

Our ed-tech software is envisioned, developed, and supported in-house. If you have the skillset for this unique opportunity, you'll be able to work with an amazing team of expert educators and developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build custom web-based front-ends to allow school and district leaders to learn and collaborate together.
  • Build RESTful APIs that allow this new data to work seamlessly with other tools.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service: We have multiple sectors of business that require a special level of communication over the phone, email etc. We are looking for a dedicated, patient, expeditious and detailed person to perform communicate effectively and efficiently.

Product Operations Specialist

At American Reading Company, we create content, build tools, and provide training to help students become avid readers and learners. SchoolPace, our student performance management system, is critical to both student and teacher success.

We're looking for a new team member to streamline the daily technical operations of the SchoolPace platform. This person will be responsible for various aspects of daily operation including performance management, system configuration, customer support, troubleshooting, and reporting.

SchoolPace is developed and supported in-house. The Product Operations Specialist will work closely with customer support representatives, developers, and other internal departments to assure that all technical components of the system are functioning correctly, and that customers have a positive experience with American Reading Company's digital platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming technical requests from the Customer Service Team
  • Application performance management

Publishing Creative Associate

In addition to the design of the books, this position involves most of the publishing process from prepress to proofing to the quality check of new titles once they are received in-house. A knowledge or background of print production is a huge plus.   • Layout, image research, and graphic design for original books at Kindergarten to second-grade reading levels
  • Acquisition of American Reading Company’s extensive leveling system and writing standards that all published books are held to
