Ensure Every Child Enters Kindergarten Ready to Learn to Read

Pre-schoolers must be immersed in books and learning how books work if they are going to be on-level when they start Kindergarten. Some children enter Kindergarten with the experience of hundreds of hours of read aloud and other literacy activities in their homes. Children who have not had these experiences enter school seriously behind. Usually children without these literacy experiences are not yet ready to learn to read.

These children will need emergency, read-aloud intervention to catch up in language, vocabulary, and background knowledge. 100 BOOK CHALLENGE® PreK ensures that every little one has had at least 1,000 books read to them during this crucial stage of learning.
