ARC Core Kindergarten, formerly known as Zoology One

Formerly known as Zoology One, ARC Core Kindergarten incorporates all the best practices of thematic inquiry with the best practices of early childhood instruction. Students learn grade-level (and above) science content as well as specific beginning reading skills as they learn to read, write, and think like researchers. High-interest big books and read-alouds immerse students in domain-specific vocabulary and build background knowledge, while classroom libraries ensure every student experiences daily success-level independent reading.

ARC Core is a basal alternative designed to turn balanced literacy into transformative literacy for both students and teachers. Available in English and Spanish.
